The fastest verified path begins with PGCDOC Release & Records at 301-952-7158 or Records/Inmate Locator at 301-952-7102. Give the legal name and, when available, a date of birth or PGCDOC identifier. Phrase the question narrowly: does the person remain in PGCDOC custody, and if not, what releasable date was recorded and was the event a community release or a transfer? The distinction prevents a state transport or another-authority pickup from being mislabeled as a return home.

- Search Maryland Judiciary Case Search for the related Prince George’s District and Circuit Court cases. Read bond, disposition, sentence, commitment, and release-order entries.

Maryland’s Public Information Act allows the custodian to review, redact, or withhold protected material. Getting Home After Prince George’s Release
Prince George’s County publishes bus and evening van options from the Correctional Center. The bus route connects toward the Upper Marlboro courthouse and county administration area, Addison Road Metro, and New Carrollton Metro. Evening van service runs toward the courthouse, Landover Metro, Addison Road Metro, and Penn Mar Shopping Center. A distinctive county rule helps someone who leaves without money. A newly released person may show release papers to ride the county bus without fare. Those papers are both a transportation credential and immediate evidence that PGCDOC completed some form of release processing. Read them closely, though. Prince George’s Bond Release Today
PGCDOC operates the county’s pretrial functions. Staff interview new admissions, gather information used in release decisions, and monitor court-ordered conditions. For weekday bond-review results, county instructions direct callers to 301-952-7102 after 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. That phone result can identify a favorable decision, but the processing record remains the source for physical exit.
A bond release ends secure county detention while the criminal case stays open. It is not sentence completion. The person may enter Pretrial Release, Home Detention, or another court-ordered program. Court records can show the bond event and later conditions, while PGCDOC can address the custody transition. If a separate charge, detainer, or transfer applies, the person may leave one legal status without returning directly to the community.
Do not look for these details in a Sheriff app. None was found, and the Sheriff is not the county jail operator. The controlling county agency is PGCDOC.
Prince George’s Release or Transfer
A same-day exit can mean several things. Bond, recognizance, time served, sentence expiration, dismissal, or another court order may lead to the community. A state-sentenced person may instead leave Dille Drive for a Maryland Division of Correction institution. Someone held for another authority can be transferred to that authority. Maryland’s state locator expressly excludes people no longer in custody for any reason. It cannot act as a historic released-person search. For a state discharge, use the release institution, a DPSCS information request, the court record, VINE information, and DPP if supervision continues.
